It's no secret that stress kills..... stress kills! It's not the stress itself but rather the way that we handle stress. How many of us were ever taught how to handle stress? We learned by watching our parents and others that were present while we were children. How did that work for you?
Well don't feel alone. Many things happen to us during those stressful periods. For instance, we go into the fight or flight mode and produce some chemicals like epinephrine and cortisol. Cortisol is responsible for storage of fat cells and adrenaline or epinephrine puts extra strain on our hearts and make them beat harder and faster. Ever notice how you feel when you're stressed? Chronic stress does a lot to our brains as well, but it really depletes our immune systems and opens us up to illness and disease. Stress has a unique ability to find its way to the weakest parts of our bodies and our susceptibility to genetic illness such as cancer , ms, parkinsons, etc.
The CHI Center has programs, techniques, tools, and the experience to help you deal with stress. It is controllable and you are the only ones that can control it. How many times have we heard " I had no choice, or I have no control" Well the fact is, we always have a choice although we may not like the option to our usual response. When we begin to look at life in a different way, when we see people differently, when we see situations differently, when we understand we have a purpose here and that we can't control everyone else's lives, We can let go a little. They also have a purpose and choices. Let us help you see things differently.
Like Dr. Wayne Dyer says, and it is one of my favorite sayings, because when we get it, it is incredibly powerful!
" When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change "
It is related to quantum physics which we still don't know a whole lot about. However we do know that our observation of something is completely dependent on our perception of what we expect to see.
So come join us to start the process of transformation. You are important and if you don't take care of yourself, you won't be able to care for those you love, the way you should. Learn how important you really are and how to treat yourself with respect. We teach people how to treat us and they do. Teach yourself how to respect yourself, they will then treat you with respect and your stress levels will decrease.
